How Adhi Yoga is formed
Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury must together occupy the 6th, 7th, and 8th houses from the Moon (Chandra Adhi Yoga) or from the Lagna (Lagna Adhi Yoga). One benefic per house is sufficient; not all three need to be in one house.
Effects when Adhi Yoga is present
Strong leadership, ethical conduct, victory over enemies, longevity, and prosperity. Adhi Yoga is one of the more reliably positive yogas because it requires all three natural benefics to participate. Politicians, judges, and respected business leaders frequently have a form of it.
- Leadership through ethical means
- Victory over open enemies and legal opponents
- Long, prosperous life
- Often present in respected politicians, judges, philanthropists
Classical reference
BPHS (Ch. 37) and Phaladeepika — Adhi Yoga formed from Moon (Chandra Adhi) or from Lagna.
Frequently asked questions about Adhi Yoga
