Does your name sit well with your birth numbers?

A traditional Vedic numerology read on your current spelling — and the small-tweak alternatives that score higher against your Moolank and Bhagya Anka. The same engine that powers DestinIQ Namkaran for newborns, applied to adult names.

We’ll auto-generate a set of common Indian spelling variants too — h-insertions, double vowels, y/i swaps.

What it does (and what it doesn’t)

Numerology is one input. It tells you whether your name’s vibration is in classical Vedic friendship with your birth numbers, in tension, or neutral. It doesn’t override the full birth chart and shouldn’t be the only reason you change a name — but a clear clash is what traditional numerologists steer people away from, and small spelling tweaks (an ‘h’ insertion, a double vowel) often resolve it without changing how the name actually sounds.

Common questions

What is name numerology?

Every letter has a Pythagorean value (A=1, B=2, ..., I=9, J=1, ...). The values of a name sum and reduce to a single 1-9 number, corresponding to a Vedic planet. That name-number's planetary friendship with your Moolank (day-of-birth root) and Bhagya Anka (full-DOB destiny number) decides whether the name's vibration sits well with your chart, neutral, or clashes.

What is Moolank and Bhagya Anka?

Moolank is the root number from your day of birth — born on the 19th, it reduces to 1+9 = 1. Bhagya Anka is the destiny number from your full date of birth — all digits summed and reduced. Both are 1-9 and each maps to a Vedic planet (1=Sun, 2=Moon, 3=Jupiter, 4=Rahu, 5=Mercury, 6=Venus, 7=Ketu, 8=Saturn, 9=Mars).

Should I actually change my name based on this?

Name numerology is one input, not destiny. A clear clash with both birth numbers is what traditional numerologists steer people away from — and the small-tweak alternatives (an 'h' insertion, a double vowel, a y/i swap) often resolve it without changing how the name sounds. We give the score breakdown transparently so you can decide for yourself. For a child's name, the full Namkaran tool weighs syllable + nakshatra + phonetic flow + family fit on top of numerology.

Is the tool free?

The numerology check + spelling-variant comparison is free. We may launch a paid PDF report and a human-priest consultation tier later — leave your email on the Adult Re-spelling page if you want that.

How are the alternative spellings generated?

We apply common Indian transliteration tweaks to your current name — h-insertions after consonants (Swarup → Swaroop), double vowels (aa, ee, oo), y/i swaps in the middle, dropping or doubling the final letter. The tool also takes any alternatives you type in manually. Each variant is scored against your Moolank + Bhagya Anka the same way.
